Noise Barrier Qualified
In addition to providing privacy and security in a great looking package, the Verti-Fence precast system qualifies as a noise barrier according to CSA Z107.9 standards. Laboratory tested for noise reduction and attenuation, Verti-Fence is a high performance sound barrier exceeding Ontario minimum requirements. Unlike other systems, Verti-Fence offers its realistic natural stone patterns on both sides of the panel.
Flexibility
Suitable for residential, commercial or municipal sound barrier requirements, Verti-Fence can be installed to a height of up to 3m (10’) using our precast columns and up to 5m (16’) using galvanized steel beams (precast column covers available). Also, Verti-Fence is the only precast noise barrier system compatible with the Verti-Block segmental retaining wall system. This gives it the advantage of being able to be installed directly on top of a retaining wall maximizing usable space and saving on additional construction costs.
Durability
Verti-Fence components are manufactured to the highest municipal specifications following CSA and OPSS standards which utilize only high strength fully reinforced concrete. In addition, Verti-Fence panels are 5” thick solid 1-pc panels which ensure structural strength unmatched by others. In comparison to Cedar, Verti-Fence has a service life more than 2.5x greater, requires no regular maintenance and will maintain its original appearance for its minimum 50yr service life. Even in high traffic areas, Verti-Fence components are not easily damaged by occasional bumps and can be engineered to withstand high impact loads.
Economical
One of Verti-Cretes goals was to be the most economical systems available on the market. Verti-Fence solid 1pc panel design allows up to 9m2 (96ft2) of noise barrier fence to be installed at once. Less components means much faster installation times and lower project costs. Also, as Verti-Fence outlasts wood and requires no maintenance it significantly lowers lifetime replacement costs and operational service costs. Verti-Fence precast noise barriers just make sense.
Anti-Graffiti Measures
Often times, these types of walls seem to be the perfect canvas for unsightly graffiti. While integral colour and anti-graffiti coatings are an option, they are more expensive, not very effective and still require maintenance. Verti-Crete recommends finishing with a stain/sealant. Not only does this offer an added layer of protection from the elements it makes dealing with this problem quick, easy and inexpensive. Staining can be applied by a single worker directly over any graffiti, restoring the original look in minutes.
